International Credit Union Day 2023

It is the 75th Anniversary of International Credit Union Day, which has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history, promote its achievements, recognize hard work and share member experiences.

The ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the tremendous work that credit unions and other financial cooperatives are doing around the world and give members the opportunity to get more engaged. We are honored to be part of this proud tradition.

Oahe Federal Credit Union invites you, our member(s) to visit us on October 19th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the credit union office where we will be serving lunch. Stop in and sign up for door prizes all week! This is our way to say “THANK YOU” to our valued member/owners for your participation at the credit union.

Congratulations Sam Sullivan!!

Sam attended DE Training (Development Education Program) in Madison, Wisconsin, in November of 2022.

Through transformative education, immersive events and collaboration, DE builds awareness of the development issues that prevent people from achieving financial freedom and how credit unions are uniquely positioned to address them. DE helps participants identify opportunities to implement or enhance products and services that meet the needs of the community.

In addition, Sam received a $1,000 scholarship from the Credit Union Foundation to achieve a Financial Counseling Certification to help our members with budgeting and managing money. We are all so proud of her accomplishments! Well done Sam!

Our Holiday Products Are Here!

Christmas Loan

Christmas is right around the corner, if you find you are short on cash apply for a Christmas Loan. You can apply online or stop in the lobby and fill out a loan application.

Holiday Skip-A-Payment

If you already have a loan with Oahe Federal Credit Union, you don’t have to apply for a new loan in order to get some extra holiday cash. Sign up for our Holiday Skip-A-Payment program instead and skip one month’s payment in October, November, or December – on your qualifying credit union loan(s). Then take the money that would have been your loan payment and use it for any season expense! There is a modest fee of $30.00 per loan to take advantage of this service and $10.00 of that will be donated to a local charity. If you make your loan payments automatically by payroll deduction, ACH or direct deposit, your payments will be deposited into your share savings account. Interest will continue to accumulate on your loan during the month you skip your payment. So for a special gift, a holiday trip or whatever your holiday plans will be, Oahe Federal Credit Union’s Holiday Skip-A-Payment program can help you finance them. Apply for one at oahefcu.coop.
